Ditto!!!! Was having the same issue, sure did not think it was because coolant was low but I checked and it was just above the cores. Filled it up and bled the air (wasn't much) and presto! problem solved. This is a great forum!

Air contacting the engine coolant sensor will also cause the ECU the misadjust the idle. When you refilled the coolant, did you bleed all the air out of the system? You loosen the bleeder on the thermostat housing until only coolant comes out while topping off the radiator.

Did you have the cylinder head repaired and planed at a machine shop? A broken timing belt will cause the valves to get bent.
How do you bleed the air out? i have this same exact problem

Open the bleed screw on the thermostat housing & let the air out. The 2 places where air can collect are the T-stat and the radiator cap.
