Default 93' ex. Burning Smell from heater when sitting still

Pretty much what the title says. When Im stopped at a light or something while the heater is on, a smell like burning rubber is harshly emitted. It goes away when I start moving again. It generally doesnt start until the vehicle is well warmed up.

Any ideas? Is my car on the verge of melt-down?
Thanks,
Zack

Is it recent or been doing this for a long time?
Have you done any work on thecar lately?

Possible problem with suspension alignment causing increased wear on the tires? That would smell, but when moving you leave the smell behind you.

Ok, I just checked the tires and there isn't any unusual wear. When I smell the burning, I imagine a belt of some sort. Its kinda like a burning vacuum cleaner belt smell. It's recent as in the last couple months. And the last work done on the car was a distributor cap replacement about 3-4 months ago.

Have you looked at your accessory belts?

Rubbing against timing covers?
Rubbing against engine mount?
