94 accord coolent in transaxle
thx texashonda for your reply, its really not to bad, like i said i got the car for free. the owner was letting it go bc he said the tranny was going out and it was about 15 minutes away from being impounded. original plan was to part it out and make a few bucks, but like i said it drives nice and is comfy.
by the way it has 202,000 miles on it, but it is in still real good condition.

btw, being a honda guy, i have allready ordered the timing belt, water pump, and tensioners.
it does need a windshield and left rear glass ($400 installed).
i have found a bunch of service records in the car, but who knows. we can probably close out this forum, as i will go ahead and change out the transaxle.
anyway, thanks for your imput, i really appreciate it.
thanks agian,
jon

What you should do is take it to a mechanic and have them exchange the fluids in your tranny to ATF-Z1 do not use multi or dex fluids. Then I suggest you flush and fill your radiator, because your scareing me a little bit hah.
Also when adding tranny fluid you should switch through the gears in order to let the fluid exchange then check in park, with the engine running.
no i did not put atf in the rad lol. i put it the filler hole of the tranny. i know it sound funny, but from what i understand from the manual i was reading (haynes) is that myradiator has a tranny cooler within it. it doesn't sound right to me either, but thats what i read. and somehow within the rad, there is a leak thatallows the coolent to mix with the tranny fuild (and leave to honda to come up with something like this, after they do use an inference engine).
ohh okay pdxcrx now I understand!
so basically what happened is the radiator was eaten away by corrosion of some sort and it went through the rad and the tranny cooler... So you should replace the rad, and then you need to flush both systems...
Thank god this problem was solved lol, but you may have long lasting effects of the tranny going, you may want to start looking at junkyards for a new one.

glad we cleared that up, yeah i allready found one on craigslist for $150, it was still in the car so i got to try it out, now the guy is pulling it for me.
anyway, thanks texashonda and evilash05 for your comments.
