Yes, it's possible. See DIY section for instructions on how to pull codes. Trans code is same as engine except the D4 light flashes instead of Check Engine Light.
good luck

My V6 shifts kind of hard sometimes too.
About the tachometer.....does it bounce intermittently? Does it work sometimes but not all the time? Does the engine seem to "shudder" a bit when the tach is not working? Get back to me on those, I may be able to help you resolve your tach issue.
Oh and by the way, the 95 V6 is OBDII. There is a plug in port to pull the "check engine" codes behind the ash tray. Pull the ash tray rearward to see the port. Take the car the AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts and have them pull the codes with their code reader. They will do it for free. Post the code numbers here. The codes should be in the format of PXXXX.

RE: 95 accord v6 tranny goofy
The mostlikely cause of tachometer bounce on a 95-97 V6 Accordis a faulty ignition coil. The tach receives its signal from the coil. A coil can be had at Advance Auto Parts for around $75. it is very difficult to test though. Look at this thread: https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/m_5..._5/key_/tm.htmThe last post on the thread is from a guy who had his fixed for free by a Honda dealer under the 98-081service bulletin. Imissed thatoriginally.I could have had my coil replaced for free. Click here: http://hondaswap.com/accord/service-...8-081-a-70507/follow the link, download the form, print it out, and take your car to a Honda dealership. If your car has under 150k on it, the dealer should replace your coil and any faulty emissions components for free according to that bulletin.
