Hi!

My car has been having this issue ramdomly, most of the time the car runs great no issues, but once in a while, if I stop, and then run again, on a red light, the car won´t go further 20mph for like 30 seconds or if I accelerate up to, like 4000rpm, finally it shifts from 1st to 2nd and starts running as it should. What could be the cause of this, I already checked the a/t oil and it seems to be ok? is there a somewhat easy fix or we are talking major bucks?

Does the D4 light start flashing when you are having problems? Have you checked for error codes? See How to get CEL codes in the DIY section. The OBD1 way will work for your car as well.

When did you last change the transmission fluid?

 

Actually the light is not on at all, it just won´t come up. Ill check for the codes at this moment to see what comes up
