Default 97 Accord - Radiator Fan Running

Folks,

just picked up a 97 honda accord.. 309+ on the odo... runs great and drives like a dream.

Occasionally when i stop the car, the radiator fan will start up and run for a few minutes - is that normal, or should I have the cooling system checked out?

Normal.

Look for problems if any of the following apply:
- If the fan runs after a real short drive (engine not warmed up).
- If the fan runs too long (like 1/2 hour or more) & drains the battery.
- If the engine overheats while driving or while idling.

Beginning in 1998 the fan control no longer allowed running after car is turned off.

Thanks guys.. i'll chock it up to normal honda behaviour. It only runs a few minutes, and then shuts itself off - happens when it's hot and i'm running the A/C. No overheating from what i see...
