Default 98 Accord Automatic trouble shifting

It feels as though the car is having trouble shifting aroung 2000 rpms or approx 45 mph. It doesnt do it all the time only when slowly accelerating. Does anyone have any tips or possibly might have experienced the same thing?? Thanks Clay

Try changing you trans fluid - drain and refill - do NOT let a shop "flush" it.
If that doesn't help, I hate to tell you, the 98-02 models have been known for weak and problematic transmissions.Honda replaced a lot of them under an extended warranty. I fear that the 98 models are now out of warranty range though

I don't know about those figures because when I took my dad's 01 in they said the extended warranty was 7 yrs/100k miles.

get on the phone with HOA ( honda of america )ASAP .. STATE YOUR COMPLAINT .. I cannot believe that they woud not help and car was only 4k over warranty ??? Absyrd .. Honda has been having a lot of issues with those pieces of crap trannies , ask to speak to the district maneger ,
i sent 2 of my customers to Honda Dedaler with tranny problems after the warranty ,and Honda helped them , 1 they did the job at no charge, the other had a lot more miles , cust had to pay for labor only
