The cruise control box needs to be removed.

Here is a site with the MRF location with some directions:

http://techauto.te.funpic.org/mainrelaydefine.php

That is odd with the voltage.

I would double check making sure that you are probing the blk/yel wire and a known ground (any bare metal nearby). I think that there is a grounding bolt near that cover to. Make sure that is clean and tight.

You can also jump the hot wire to the blk/yel wire on the connector to the MFR and recheck the voltage. It is pins 4 (blk/yel) and 5(red/wht) on my 95 accord. Yours may be different.

My voltmeter has a red and black pin. I put the red in the yellow socket and the black in the black socket and I get the 6.7V. I'm not sure how to apply the ground? Not really good with electrical stuff... All I did was probe the blk and yel sockets and turned the key. I repeated this about 5 times and the results were the same for all... Autozone said they would refund me though, I dont know why. I'm gonna take the new relay back tonight just incase he changes his mind. Btw in Autozone, there are 2 different relays that showed up in the screen when I was at the store. The guy didnt know the difference, nor do I.

Here are the links to the two different parts, I bought the first one:
(Part is called Main Relay)
http://www.autozone.com/R,3530837/ve...ductDetail.htm
(Part is called EFI Main Relay)
http://www.autozone.com/selectedZip,.../selectZip.htm

Is there a difference or did I buy the wrong one?

I ended up taking it to a mech. He said that it can be a distributor or fuel pump but he can't check them until he drives my car and catches it on the act.

Could it be the wires of the 3 pin connector that I'm plugging the voltmeter into that is bad?
If you unplugged the fuel pump wiring, and the fuel pump still runs, then you didn't really unplug the fuel pump wires. I suspect you unplugged the wiring for the fuel gauge sender?

Sorry guys, I couldn't respond. My internet was dead for this whole time.

Oh man I see. The location on the haynes manual look correct but I guess it wasn't.

The mechanic didn't look at my car. He just left it running for abuot 1 hour and it didn't die... Next day (probably around Mar 2nd) I drove it in the rain and it died after I drove over a puddle, but started back up in about 1 hour.

Uh... I ended up changing the fuel filter and cleaning throttle. So far my car hasn't died while driving, but it did have trouble starting a few times. I found out that it doesn't start usually when the day is about 85F degrees. What I found out through trial and error is, I can start the pump right away if I uncap the fuel tank, releasing the pressure and cap it back on.

I'll try to figure out how to check my relay again and if anything, I'll just buy a new pump. But the good news is... so far no deaths yet to my car and myself haha.

Thanks guys and sorry for the late reply.
