The clutch fork is not moving far enough from what it looked like. When you depress the clutch it's supposed to go all the way out then all the way back. It's only moving about half the distance it should be. If the pedals soft you may have air in your lines also.

This is it boys, after a month of having this thing on jack stands i’ve been dying to drive it again. one last check on things before i slam this puppy together tomorrow. 1, how does the clutch and pressure plate look? the clutch did feel a bit crooked coming out with the pressure plate so maybe that was it? and those scars on the PP were from the allon key i dropped in the bell housing 2, is the clutch fork supposed to have this much play? and 3, how do i fix this stupid tube thing on the tranny. i appreciate everyone’s help and support

Your fork is fine. The tube is called a dowel pin. You should be able to get a long punch to get it out from the other side. They can be replaced

The clutch fork is always pressing against the pressure plate, so if you were to press against the throw-out bearing (towards the trans) while moving the fork, you should find it's motion is more controlled. The clutch slave cylinder has a spring inside to always lightly press on the fork, so you don't have that looseness when it's all assembled. Put a little grease on the ball/socket pivot of the clutch fork?

And a little grease on the very end of the transmission input shaft, where it pokes into the center hole of the flywheel. I don't think there's an actual pilot-bearing in there, so it should just not be wedged into the flywheel.

The picture in post #20 shows the grooves in the friction material of the clutch disk. That will show you which direction to install it. Those are directional so the dust is being pushed outwards while the clutch is slipping.
