Cooling Fan issue!
Hey gang....just need advice on a cooling fan malfuction that just occured to me....ok...so i was just driving along...and i smelt burning from somewhere....didn't know it was my car or not..but then once i got over to a safe location, popped the hood and the smell was very strong at the cooling fan.....to my surprise it actually looked like the fan seized up and melted itself onto something it was rubbing against.....i took the fuse out and i haven't had my coolant level never went over midway.....should i be concerned? should i replace the coolant fan? has this happened to anybody else? thanks...

RE: Cooling Fan issue!
yep........... you need to replace the fan motor. and from the sound of it the shroud where it is mounted on,, ..and make sure to chk the fuse after replacing the fan motor , i am sure it is blown ..
by the way what year and model ?? put the info on your sign so we can always tell

RE: Cooling Fan issue!
usually fans start making a bit of noise, which gets louder and louder if not replaced, and eventually you got a seize of the motor and melt down of the shroud
