Default cruise solved

Thanks for the replies everyone, I did get the small hose off the cruise pump to the right inlet on the intake manifold and the cruise started working again!

Default cruise again

ok so yes I had gotten the cruise working again by fixing the hoses.

then it stopped working, I get the light on the switch but nothing on the dash when I hit one of the buttons on the steering wheel. I'm told the voltage is there, I had replaced the brake switch behind the pedal, is there some adjustment there?

Yes, if you had the brake switch replaced you need to be sure it is adjusted properly.

Default brake switch adjustment

Cool, does anyone have a link to how to do that, I thought it was in this thread, something about backing the nut all the way down first..

There are four pins on the brake switch, when the brake is not pressed there should be continuity across two (A and D). If not there, back off the "jam" nut and screw the switch in until there is continuity, tighten jam nut.

Well looks like I've got continuity where I should, the brake lights work, but the cruise does not come on and the shift lock solenoid for this automatic also doesn't move when you hit the brake. Tested solenoid, it's fine. Anything else you would try?

Wait, when did the shift lock come into the story.....I missed that. Are there any codes from the TCU.

You did test both positions of the brake switch - a brake switch out of adjustment will still work the brake lights but not allow the cruise to work.
