Ok here is some more info. This soud is very faint if not silent when the engine is cold and when it warms up that is when you can hear it. You cant hear it from the cab and hardly just standing outside. You have to pop the hood and listen but it is definately there. The Vtec is supposed to run very smoothly but it is definately not smooth and again it gets louder with higher RPMs but not really loud. Im sure i can post a video if you would like

 

I have not had any further problems with my engine as far as check engine lights go. The ticking is still there though. I need(when I get the money) to get my valves adjusted so I can stop worrying about my engine.

 

Ok I got my valves adjusted a while back and the car has been running great
