Fan isn't turning off
#11
Honda has used different systems of sensors and control logic for the radiator fans, depending on what year. That business about sensor B in the upper hose applies to older 4-cyl cars (you hadn't yet told us it's a V-6).
2000 shows that #15 is the sensor for the ECU. #14 is the fan switch. #13 is NOT LISTED for 2000, but it looks like the 1-wire sensor for the dashboard temperature gauge. Maybe 2000 gauge is driven directly by the ECU without it's own sensor?
In any case, my 1998 Accord had only one fan switch, and the fan had no way to run after the engine was turned off. So maybe it's not a bad sensor, but some other short-circuit somewhere is triggering the fan relay??

^^^sorry again for not posting any info on the car i felt stupid when i came back and realized i didn't add what yr/make/model it was lol.
The more I'm thinking about it the more it's sounding like a short... when it first started all i needed to do was unplug the fan wait for the fan to completely stop rotating then plug it back in and it wouldn't go back on... now it will go back on even after being unplugged for 20-30 minutes... the other thing is that it doesn't always stay on it's a little bit random.
So the "sensor b" doesn't exist on my car? From that diagram it looks like i unpluged the fan switch and it still didn't turn the drivers side fan off. Do you think it'd be worth it to just buy a fan switch too see if it stops the problem?
I'm praying it's not a short I absolutely hate electrical issues lol
I circled what i unplugged... looks like it's the switch from the diagram

I would check out the fan relay before I buy a new fan switch. Relays can stick closed, which could explain the whole thing. I didn't have problems with this on my 1998, so I' not real sure where the fan relay is located.

I finally got off my butt and went to Honda andp icked up a new relay, it seems to be working just fine now, but i bought the fan switch while i was there too, so hopefully no more issues
