Fender bender help
Hello, I'm 16 and was actually driving my mothers Honda. I just bought a new car for myself yesterday and had to go get the plates for it. On my way to the DMV I was in a accident and I got an estimate from the officer who arrived of 3000 in damage I was wondering what you guys think the damage is and if it's even worth fixing. Thanks!

If the car is a new 2015 Accord, yup, worth fixing; if it is an old 1992 Accord (or older), probably not so much. What year, make, model, and trim level is your mother's car? What kind of condition was it in, and how much do you believe it is worth?

That isn't a 2003 accord. Looks like a 98-02 accord.
Definitely the hood, bumper headlights, and radiator support. Other items that may or may not be damaged are the a/c system, radiator, wiring.
You will need an estimate from a body shop that sees this all the time. Who knows what damage is done underneath the bumper.
It is likely totaled, in my opinion.

The first thing I thought was don't take the officer's word for the estimate. He won't be in a position to find hidden damage, and frankly it's not his job.
It may seem like a pretty good guess that the car is totaled, but get a proper estimate from a body shop.
