Default Fob won't shut off alarm on 95 accord

My fob completely stopped working and now I can't start my car because the alarm goes off.

If I unlock the car manually with the key, the alarm goes off and the engine won't start if the alarm goes off. It's basically stuck and un-drivable. I got a new battery for the fob but it still doesn't work. The fob is from the manufacturer. Any ideas on how to get my car started?

From the manufacturer? You sure? I wasn't aware any 95s came with a fob from the factory.

The alarm is not installed at the factory, so the dealer probably installed it. Take a look under the driver's side dash for wires that are not neatly organized and trace them to a box. That is likely the alarm control unit that you may be able to reset.

You may want to charge your car's battery, or test the battery voltage. A change in voltage could cause problems with the alarm. Hooking up jumper cables with another vehicle is another option.

Actually the 5 door (wagons) EX came with a factory system - http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/misc/98-011.pdf

As stated by PA - look for a reset....stange button by the hood release by chance?
