Fuse problem with tail lights

96 accord Fuse problem with tail lights
I have a 96 accord and my fuse for the tail lights continues to blow when I turn on the lights. My signal and brake lights work fine. Please help, this is giving me a headache thanks. fuse is 15

I had this problem when I bought this car.
It is very hard (read impossible) to figure out.
A few other guys have also had this problem.
There are a few good intending, smart fellows on this board which will direct you to spend hours and hours tracing circuits to find and correct the problem.
I feel I have the best way to fix it.
It is simple, will take you 10 mins to complete.
Here is the thread I started on this problem.
I also had no dash lights sounds like you just have no taillights.
You will need to run just 1 new wire to correct your problem.

Here is the breakdown
Run a wire from your fusebox in the drivers footwell to the trunk.
cut the red wire with a black stripe you can find that wire behind the taillight bulb access panel on the drivers side.
Connect the wire you ran to that red/black wire
presto - working taillights.
Cost = very little.
If you have a 96 then you also have the taillights on the trunk lid to power up as well.
The last page of the link I gave you explains how I did that.
