headlight problem
Yeah kinda new at the whole forum thing but i've been around it so yeah. As the title goes, I have a headlight problem. For some reason my right headlight on my 01 Accord has condensation on the inside lens. I have a feeling that it may be that theres either a crack on the housing or probably its a bad sealant. The thing is though is that I just recently bought the car from the dealership and what sucks even more is that it isnt covered under the warrenty because they call it a "wear and tear" problem, I even reported it as a safety issue just to get it replaced. I know there might be ways to do this by lyk either resealing the seal around the housing and lens, or just do the open the housing in the oven trick. But any of you guys have a better idea? I don't want to buy an 200 oem replacement, wouldnt mind buying the black ones off ebay but yeah.

It starts to clear up at night because the light heats up the water slowly and makes it go away.

When I worked the used car dept. we would dry them out with a blow dryer, thru the bulb hole, then swipe sealer across the top and sides of the lense to bucket seam, then run them thru the carwash a day later.
If the top and the sides get resealed the water can't seep into the lense area.

yeah thanks guys, i just did what you guys mentioned and it works great now, kinda hard though to get like the last bit of it on the far corner of the headlights, but i guess just keeping the blowdryer pointing to the same spot for a while may remove it.
