Default HELP 86 hard to start

I just bought an 86 accordfour door carburatedfrom my uncle it is very clean and has 214,000 miles on it. When purchased he said that he did have trouble getting it started during the winter in that it would start right up then die and be very tough to start after that. I did see it happen during the winter but thought it would be fine during the summer. I was so wrong. So if I let this car sit for a day and go to start it it will fire right up but seconds later it will die and I can not get it to start up after that. I can use starter fluid and get it running. It will run great after that for as long as I need and will start right up if turned off. I have thought fuel filter and so I pulled it off (one that is up by the carburator) it does not seem to be clogged. I have read about main fuel relays but the symptoms don't exactly fit my problem in that I have no problems if the car gets warm. Is there another fuel filter? Could it be the fule pump? I am looking for any help here. I don't want my 16 year old daughter to have a car that will not start.

I believe that there is another fuel filter located in the rear of the car right after the fuel pump. That also sounds like the culprit to me as well... It could be a few other things but that's where I would start...
