Help... Need My Car: Tranny Replacement Issue
I just replaced my transmission and clutch and now I'm having an issue. The car won't start, the starter tries to turn the motor but can't for some reason. So I tried bump starting it and when I let the clutch out in gear the car just kept rolling. So for osme reason I can push the car around in gear. I hear it click into gear, and I go into reverse and I can hear the sound of it. So it feels like its going in gear and sounds like it but I can push it around. I had the linkage that is on the top of the tranny off because I put my old one on, could this be the problem? I'm just really confused and don't know where to go from here.

RE: Tranny Replacement Issue
jack up the front of the car, rotate the tires by hand, when you rotate one tire the other one should turn also (try both sides) if this doesn't happen then you don't have the cv axles seated properly....
"The car won't start, the starter tries to turn the motor but can't for some reason."
Explain this a little better, describe what it's doing.... is your timing and firing order correct?

RE: Tranny Replacement Issue
The starter makes a noise for a split second then stops. Basically if I held the key it would burn the starter out because the starter isn't able to turn the motor. I didn't touch anything to do with the motor and its operation.

RE: Tranny Replacement Issue
Take the spark plugs out. Can you use a socket wrench on the crankshaft pulley to turn the engine? Only turn it counterclockwise, the normal direction for the engine to run.
