Hello Texas H. I just tried what the video is suggesting. The water did not change the noise at all. The alignment between the PS pump and alternator is fine, also from the Crankshaft pulley and A/C compressor. I notice a little gap between the alternator and A/C compressor, about 1/16", not sure if that is critical or not.
I removed the serpentine belt again and the engine noise without the belt is so quiet. The only noise I was able to heard were the fuel injectors. It's a shame I need that belt!!

Take each & every pulley that spins with the belt. Separately, spin each one & listen/feel for any roughness.

Because you aren't spinning it fast enough to represent the engine running, you'll have to be extra picky & listen closely for very faint roughness or noise.

Be sure to test spin the AC compressor pulley and listen carefully and feel for any roughness. This bearing spins w/ AC on and off so could be source of noise.

good luck

Hi guys, thanks for the advise. I'll take the serpentine belt out tomorrow. Hope I can fine something. This noise is so annoying in a really nice car. Regards.

Here is a video that shows exactly my problem. Seems like I'm not alone, a lot of people complains about the same.

Hopefully you'll find the faulty component.

It still sounds like PS pump noise to me. Bearings don't increase the whine so much w/ increasing rpm. They have more rattle, raspy sound.

good luck

I used the stethoscope on all the pulleys and accessories and confirmed that the noise is coming from the lower tensioner pulley. After removing the belt, notice that even tough the bearing of the lower pulley is not noisy, it does have some free play that may allow the pulley to jiggle, way too much for a part that was changed less than a year ago.
I did not used an OEM part, and maybe that makes the difference. So I'm planning to take the tensioner apart today, and maybe change the bearing. Just need the sun to give us a break, we are at 105 F !
I'll keep you posted on the next step.

Hi Texas H, ok, here is what I found: There is some misalignment between the pulleys. Please note the belt path on the two pulleys. There is also some weird pattern on the surface of the lower pulley that may be cause by the forced belt, and causing the whining noise.
Now the task is to find what is crocked. I guess is the A/C compressor-Alternator assembly. They seem to be attached to a fixture/body, which is also attached to the engine block.
You were right, thanks. Hope we are in the right way. Will continue tomorrow.

Try using a straight edge on the face of on of the pulleys, then see if the straight edge aligns with another pulley.

Here is a video on what I'm talking about.

I have both a tensioner pulley and an idler pulley on my 05 V6. Tensioner pulley made noise for me but I replaced both when I did it.
