Question Honda Accord problem

Hi! I have a Honda Accord (2004)and the radio/clock light is not coming on. Everything else works, just the display is not lit up. My husband took it to our local Honda Dealer and they want almost $300 to fix it. I am wondering if maybe it is just a fuse, or does the whole unit have to come out to change a light bulb?
I appreciate any help!!1
Thanks
Deb

It's a common problem with your model Accord. It's due to a faulty printed circuit board. See this link:

Redbull is right. The bulb isn't bad, but some components on the circuit board.

I know on my TSX, which has a similar board, you can buy and replace the faulty circuit board. I am not sure if the accord has this part available.

I think your unit is an Alpine, so you can call Alpine of America. They charge about $160 to repair the radio. You have to pay for shipping. Call and ask if they can repair: 800-421-2284
