Depending on how long the car has been for sale he may spring for it.

If it was put up with in the last few weeks and is not desperate to sell it, chances are he may not move.

If it has been for sale for a long time or he is motivated to sell it, he might counter offer somewhere around $2200 to $2300.00.

Thats what Im thinking but the thing is I've seen better body and lower miles sell for this price. The miles are low(141k) new exaust, newer tires, everything works body has normal honda rust, its a '92 4dr, 4cyl. How much is a tranny if this one fails?

I have read on here an average of $1500 or so. On the Honda’s you are looking at would I look at condition and maintenance over miles.

It was 6 years ago, and the Kelly BB value was $3,200. It was a 92 Accord EX Sedan, with 140k miles on it (no rust, no leaks, and everything worked). I sold that car for $5,000 easily. How a car is maintained has WAY more to do with how much it's worth, than some KBB value, imo. I would not have sold the car for less, and the person who bought it, knew from looking at it, it was worth that much. The auto tranny shifted harsh from day one, till I sold it 12 years later (never got worse or better). I still miss that car. IMO, it's how much is it worth to YOU, not some value calculator.
