In your photo you can see 4 of the bolts that hold the transmission case together. There's more all around it & some are easily visible on top. They are relatively long bolts that extend to the split-line where the case comes apart. You can see them on the parts drawing at the first link I put in a few posts back.
The reason I think the leak is coming from up higher, is the side of the transmission is oily to much higher elevation than those bolts. Leaking oil drips downwards, and there's a handful of more likely things (up higher) that can be leaking.
Feel free to check those bolts for looseness, but don't OVER-tighten them. If they were loose, the oil would more likely leak from the gasket that's located where the transmission case comes apart. I wouldn't remove those bolts, because I think that'll create a new leak at that gasket.
