Mystery Electrical Issue-2010 Accord EX-L
Hi, please help.
I installed an Android head unit into my 2010 Accord EX-L. Immediately after installation the following stopped working:No interior lights when opening the passenger doors (front/rear); passenger side daytime running light went out; key fob no response; door not locking nor unlocking using driver & passenger door switch; no dashboard illumination; no windshield washer fluid expelling; A/C compressor not turning on.
I used a volt meter and checked all fuses there was continuity in all fuses.
I removed the Android’s Aux cable wiring harness and everything was back to normal - for approximately 1 hour. After I reinstalled the factory head unit and Android device minus the AUX connection - All of the problems previously listed returned.
I then removed the Android device and used the factory head unit only. The problems continue.
Next step was to try disconnecting the battery for approximately 20 minutes to try a hard reset. No luck. Actually they got a bit worse. Now no interior lights when opening any door, the radio doesn’t power up, unable to turn on the headlights unless the engine is turned on.
Thoughts please?
