Hey guys, I replaced my automatic transmission in my 98 accord Lx. It was running and shifting great until when I got to a stoplight... The car wouldn't shift gears and somehow got stuck in 2nd.

I pulled over and checked my fluid, and it appears as though I lost a large amount. I looked under the car and it appears the axle seals are the culprit.

Now here is my question... If I fill the fluid back up, and obviously change the axle seals will this make my transmission go back to normal or is the transmission shot?

Kind of an unknown. I would start there instead of assuming the trans is gone and going thru all the labor and expense of replacing it.
