Overheating / Heater Not Blowing Hot Air
Greetings all. Apologies in advance for asking a question I'm sure has been addressed before. I was trying to use the search function, but it kept giving me zero results which I'm sure is not the case.
I've got a '98 Honda Accord LX, 5 speed, 4 cyl with just over 120K on the clock. Lately, it's been overheating and the heater is not blowing hot air. Additionally, my wife said that the air conditioner wasn't blowing cold air during the summer. I've checked the coolant level which is fine.
Thoughts??
Shane

Hot and cold are 2 different problems. The lack of hot air and overheating leads me to believe that your thermostat is shot. It's a $30 piece held in place by 2 bolts ..... easy DIY fix. The cold air issue most likely has to do with the freon system ..... leak and/or bad compressor ..... not as cheap as the heat fix.
