Possible Starting Issue
My friends 03 Accord, 4 Cyl, LX, 160K'is is having the following symptoms,
I am 2-3 hours away and have not been to see it yet, doing re-con before I go.
Key on, start position, hears what she calls an electronic buzzing from the dash
area after a second or two the car turns over and starts. Has not gotten any worse
and "surprisingly" has not fixed itself either.
No access to a wiring diagram, but most relays I have seen are under the hood?
Has anyone experienced this and have any thoughts on What Where Why Etc.
I did replace the 3-button key fobs for her years ago and had to "move" the chip
to the new one, but have had no issues, does it with both keys.
Thanks for any input.

You have an ignition relay relay under the dash. Should be around 6 or 7 relays just above the fuse box.
I forget which one it is but just swap 1 and 2 and try. If it works then it's 1 that has the issue. If it's doing the same then switch 6 and 7. If that works then 7 was your issue. It can also be the ignition switch.
When it happened to me I changed my switch and relays since I knew both have issues after a while.

It might be related to the car battery being on its way out. The high power required by the starter causes the battery voltage to drop down low enough to cause flaky behavior. That can be the battery itself being weak, or maybe the connections at either end of either one of the battery cables being loose, dirty, corroded, flaky, etc. Just another possibility for you to check out when you see the car. Got a multi-meter? Watch the voltage as the key is turned to START - how low does it drop?
