Unhappy Power steering fluid leak

2008 Accord 2.4L LX AT
The past couple of weeks I've noticed that I've been leaking power steering fluid. I first noticed it after starting the car, and hearing a "whine" turning the wheel. The fluid level was below the Low line. I topped it off with what I had available, and then bought a pint at a local auto parts store. Over the near future I noticed that I had a .. wet spot seemingly directly under the reservoir. One day I positioned the car in the sunlight, and visually inspected everything. I don't see the reservoir leaking, nor the pump.

I took it to an automotive repair station over the weekend, and was told the network of connections from the pump to the .. rack / knuckle needed to be replaced. Rubber hoseS, and a steel line. Purportedly also the reservoir; the filter is bad and "dirty" fluid is in the system?

WITHOUT the steel line (couldn't get pricing on a weekend) and that install, I was quoted $824! $68 for the reservoir, $90 to remove and replace it, etc.

My 2008 LX has ~ 111,000 miles on it. It is kept outside, on the side of my house. Sole owner; bought new May 2008.

NOTE: I did have to replace the rack (I think I used non-Honda fluid..) with a rebuilt one, in January 2015.

NOTE 2: Four days before I noticed the lower fluid level, I was driving around downtown Boston. I hit a BIG pothole / depression with my front right tire.

Has anyone else had similar issues?

You need to find the source of the leak. I doubt every hose is leaking. Clean the outside of the PS hoses with brake cleaner and get dry. Spray something like athletes foot powder all over the lines/reservoir. Start the car and look for where the powder is soaking fluid.
