Default Power steering pump noise? 2006 Honda Accord V6

Hi,

Sometimes there will be noise coming from the drive belt region when I start the car in the morning when the weather is cold. Some people say it is from the power steering pump. But the noise will disappear after I drive the car for like 15 minutes. Would it do any serious damage in the future if I just ignore this? The noise is recorded:

Cheap try....replace the o-ring on the pump.......mainly see this on the '03's (or so). Again for ~$2 worth a try.

@poorman212: I can hear the noise when I'm not turning the steering wheel. The sound becomes greater when the engine revs up. Is it still because of the power steering inlet joint O-ring? Thanks

Usually, if it is the oring, the noise will be louder when the engine is cold, and quiet down as the engine warms up.

listened to the video, and it sounds like the o-ring. The new o-ring will be orange, and they look a little thicker than the original black o-ring. It's a tight fit to get the 10mm wrench on the bolt and turn it, but it's possible. You will not lose much fluid, if you hold the hose up.
