Default Problem

Hi. I have a 1994 for honda accord ex. This morning my speedometer was not moving. Then a min of driving my D4 light starts flashing (blinking) then i kepted driving cause that happen before about 3 days ago. After another min of driving my Check Engine light turns on. I turned off my car and turn it back on. Everything was fine but speedometer acts up. it did that about a week now. Like ill be at a constant 40 then all of a sudden it will drop to zero then jump back up to 40. What it wrong with my car?

You should have posted in the General Tech Help section. It may turn out to be the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), connection or wiring. But, first you should get the trouble code to narrow down the problem to be sure. Under the passenger side dash, there is a blue connector that you can jump with a small paper clip or wire to retrieve the trouble code by counting the sequence of blinks of your Check Engine Light and/or D4 light.

Go to the General Tech Help section and at the top of the sticky are links to info. on retrieving the trouble code(s).
