Slight vibration - 2003 Honda Accord 4 cyl automatic
I have a 2003 Honda Accord 4 cylinder with an automatic transmission. I am noticing some slight abnormal vibration when the car is stopped but in gear. The vibration goes away when you place the car in neutral or in park. I have changed the spark plugs which was recommended by a friend but this did not change the vibration but might have helped in a very small way but really negligible difference. Any ideas or suggestions??? Please help. Thanks

Yep, worn engine mounts. Here is the Honda technical service bulletin:

Note that service bulletins generally are not recalls, they are to help the techs resolve certain known problems.

Thanks a lot redbull-1. This is very helpful. The bulletin mentions bulletin 03-042 at the bottom for my car. Is there anyway I can get this bulletin as well. I really appreciate the help!!!!

I've had the same vibration in my 03 4cyl EX. I always blamed a possible change in gasoline formulation for the winter months. Recently, however, I'm starting to think that maybe the electrical load is the cause. Heated seats, defrost, blower fan, and lighting may be putting a load on the engine. Next time you're sitting there at the traffic light, and you feel the vibration, try turning things off and see if that helps.
