Tip:Fixed My A/C,It Wasn't Broken Though.
I wanted to share with you all that I noticed that even with my a/c fully charged and the climate control was on recirculation,it was not feeling as cold as I thought it should. It would not drop below 50 degrees at the vents.
I did some checking and found that the door to the climate control, when you turn the **** on the dash from hot to cold, was not closing 100%.
I unhooked the cable and manually closed the door under the dash and heard it shut. Now its freezing in the car.Its getting down to 39 at the vents.
I believe when I took the dash parts out for another job,I had to unhook the cable to the climate control door,I may have knocked it out of alignment somehow.Be sure you can hear the door close both ways.It was making the noise on the hot side closing, but not on the cool side.
Have a cool summer!

I looked at this last summer when working on my Accord. I don't remember an adjustment on the cable for the blend door. I remember there was a way to adjust the cable for the water valve so you could make sure the hot water was shut off. I bought another cable (it was about $5), but if there's an adjustment I can make, I'll save myself the labor of installing the cable. I'm going off memory here, but it seemed like the only way to get the blend door to close all the way was to make the cable shorter, but I don't recall a way to do that. What am I missing?
There is a shop manual for the 94 you can download. The process is the same. There are two calbes in the system. One from the **** on the dash, it runs down the the blend door lever - there is a cover with on push pin you might have to remove to see it. The other end of the lever connects the other cable that runs to the heater control valve.
Thanks, poorman212. I took a look at it again and here's the issue I'm having. The setup on my '97 looks slightly different than whats in the image. I don't see a way to adjust the cable. There are two "collars" on the cable sleeve and they're spaced apart by the width of the clamp. The collar at the end of the cable sleeve is about 1/4 inch wide. The other collar is about 3/4 inch wide. Those can't be moved and they're too big to fit in the clamp. I checked my replacement cable and it's the same as far as those collars go. The water valve cable doesn't have those collars and can be adjusted.
When I push on the blend door arm in the direction it would move when you select COLD, there's a little bit of additional movement. That's why I bought the cable. It seemed like it was too long and maybe it stretched over the years.
Am I missing something?
Note: the use of caps is used to indicate a switch/selector position, not that I'm getting excited or yelling. That's just the way we do it in my industry.

Early production year 1995 Accords air/mix control cables can be adjusted. Do not try to adjust late production year 1995, 1996, and 1997 Accords, as they came with a non-adjustable air/mix control cable.

Thanks, redbull-1. I thought I was missing something in the shop manual. I hate it when the documentation is wrong. I expected more from a Japanese company as the Japanese are very particular about having the correct documentation.
I wasn't aware and hadn't considered that the valve could strip. I just assumed (yeah, I know what that means) that if the lever were moving that the valve would close. I have some more homework to do. This all makes sense now and some of it should have been obvious to me.
