Default tranny swap

I currently have a automatic accord (yeah, automatic, it sucks) and I'm looking to swap in a manual. I know it's more or less not worth it but right now I'm still brainstorming about it and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good, trustworthy site or store where I could find a good sturdy manual transmission for a decent price. Any help is appericated

eBay would be a good place to start. Just make sure the tranny doesn't have a whole lot of miles on it. A lot of sellers on there have warrenties on them, so that's kinda cool. The accord manual tranmission is a pretty roboust little gear box, so as long as it had fluid in it and the person driving it had the basic concpets of stick shift driving, it will probably be in fine shape.

You could also take a look at V6Performance.net (no, I'm not a traitor, I just like being as fully informed as possible ). They were looking at getting deals on new transmissions. I'm not sure if they were auto or standard or both. What I've seen for used trannies versus getting one of those is a no-brainer. It just depends on what you want to do with your car, how much you want to spend, etc. Also, if you go there and find info on $3K+ trannies, keep looking, they were going to try a different route.
