Default Trans problems on 2007 Accord

I'm glad to see this site exists. I need some independent input on what you folks might think of my issue.

I have a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L 6Cyl, 4 door, nav, 17in Wheels. Automatic Trans. 33,234 miles.

Here is my issue:

The transmission seems to never know exactly which gear it is supposed to be in. Before I even make it out of my housing area moving between 0 - 15 mph the transmission will shift up and down several times. It will shift from 1st to 2nd and then jump to 4th and then back to 2nd or 3rd. Especially at slow speeds between 10-30 + or -, the car can't keep a constant speed.

Once I get out into traffic on main roads I will press the accelerator and start to accelerate. The trans shifts from 1st to second smoothly but from 2nd to 3rd it has a slight shudder then it jumps to 4th and then back to 3rd before acceleration continues on up to highway speeds and it shifts up again smoothly.

Once I decelerate down an offramp the car coasts fine while I am slowly breaking to come to a stop. About halfway down the offramp the trans will suddenly downshift at an inappropriate time. This in conjunction with the slight breaking pressure as I am slowing down to stop actually throws you forward in the car. It also happens when I am just coasting down the road in traffic. The trans will downshift and slow the car quite drastically. I've almost had folks rear end me because of this and definatly had some people flip me off thinking I did it on purpose.

Another issue is that the car bucks as the transmission shifts. Just like an car or truck with a manual trans if you aren't real smooth with the clutch. It doesn't do it all the time but sporadically....this is more pronounced on hotter days or when I am the only one in the car (no extra load)

Basically, the trans doesn't seem to know what it is supposed to be doing.

I've taken it to the local dealership and they range from saying I am using the wrong gas, to there is nothing wrong with it, to its the 17 inch wheels that are causing it. I call BS on all of those. I use premium gas, the car was issued with the 17in wheels and I am to old to believe that a trans is supposed to act like that.

I apologize for the lenth of this post but I wanted to give enough detail to give a good picture of the issue and get some good feedback from you all.

TIA

I'm with you on most of the BS. But I'm pretty sure your engine is SUPPOSED to run on regular gas.

The more sophisticated computerized control of the tranny, the more I like my manual trannys. (Sorry, just couldn't resist)

Honda has extended the warranty on their Accord AT's. There were many problems with them in the early 2000's. You might still be covered.

Where/how do I post my problem? I.e., where is the "New Thread" button?
