Default Urgent Help!

I just changed my timing belt, the secondary one. (I was some how driving that car with it completely broken) I idle at 900/rpms. Manual 2.3L 2000. My problem is i'm not gaining power. It's more in 3rd, 4th, & 5th gear when I accelerate my rpms go up but my speed doesn't. Sometimes it takes 2-3 times to get into 1st. I don't know if that has to do with my clutch or tranny. I'm at 190,000mil. I'll be honest I did a lot of redline pulls, that's what snapped my timing belt... I'm throwing out random info. just incase it correlates with my problem.

Did you change both belts when you did the timing belt job?

If you drove the car with a broken timing belt then you have bent valves; have a compression test, or better still, a cylinder leak down test, performed to confirm the bent valves. Once confirmed, you'll then need to have the cylinder head rebuilt, or swap the head with one from a junk yard.
