Where is the tranny oil drain plug for accord 2003 v4??
Hi All,
Where is the tranny oil drain plug for accord 2003 v4 Automatic????
I attached 2 pictures for drain bolt location (that's my guess). So please I need someone to confirm , is this the right bolt? Is this the right location?
In some forums I read it's next to the passenger wheel. But when I looked in my car, nothing was there.. The only one I can think it's , next to the oil pan from the driver side, as shown in attached pictures. Please advise!
Thanks in advance

If you haven't done the change yet, the drain plug is right in the center, up front, with a 3/8" square for a ratchet or breaker bar. (Looks like the green circle may be it) Easy to find. Refill is exactly 3 qts. (be sure to check it with the dipstick)
Change 3 qts, drive it for an hour, day, week, then repeat the process. You can only get about 1/2 of the fluid at each change.
YES, I found a filter that no one knew about! It's on top of the transmission case in a cooling line leading to the radiator, probably under your air intake tube below the brake master cylinder, and looks like a fuel filter with nipples and hose clamps on both ends. Easy to change, about $20 at a dealer, and you may have to order it. I found it, changed it, and cut open the old one and it IS a pleated paper filter that needs changing.

Some confusion...
Previous 4-cyl Accords (2002 & earlier) have the engine facing the opposite direction. So the tranny is not only in the other side of the engine bay, but for the auto-tranny the drain plug used to face away from the engine, not towards it.
There's always people that think all Accords since 1977 are just the same as each other...
