Question Window problems,Please help

96 accord 4 door ex model,,,the drivers side front door ,, the glass :rocks: back in forth in the channel,,if you roll it up with out keeping it in the channel at rear of glass it will pop out of channel about 3 inches form the top... any ideas?


Pass. side fornt widow ,,makes a loud schreeching sound on roll down and is very slow to roll up,,so bad,,i dont roll it down any more...any ideas??


I just recently am able to drive again since my accident and am trying to be diligent in my upkeep from here on out,,

You need to take the door panel off and look at the bracket that holds the window.
It is possible that a bolt is loose or an swivel broke.

In any case, take the panel off and roll the window down 1/2 way, until you see the parts that hold the window in place. Then have someone hold the window and move it gently back and forth and you should see something loose.

As for the passenger side, same thing, but when you take the panel off, try to put a bit of oil in the gear or the guides, or where ever you can hear the noise is coming from. It will be obvious once you get the panel off.
