Default Bypass valve fittings

Does anyone have knowledge of how universally bypass valves tend to fit various cold air intakes? I'm planning on getting a cold air intake off of ebay due to my inability to afford something such as an AEM cold air intake at the moment and I want to get a bypass valve as safety measure. However, I want to make sure I get a bypass valve that is going to fit. I've also found bypass valves on ebay. Any advice?

Once again these aren't the cheapest, but as long as you get the one that is the same size as your intake diameter, it should fit fine. Most intakes tend to be of the 2.5 inch size or 3 inch.

Bypass valves are fit just to diameter so as long as the one you order fits the same diameter piping you get it will work just fine
