If you have a rattle, then the element is broken and you need a new cat. Removing the heat shield won't cause problems from the car, but you are riding lowered and if you park on a pile of dried leaves you could start a fire ..... just be careful.

Salute to the Fiero Firestarter ...... what a piece of Pontiac!!!! It looked cool before the fire though!

i see, does the OBX high flow Cat sound like it will do the trick, they even say it adds 10-15 ponies ...

it should .... I'm not sure about the OBX one though. The only REAL high flow cat that I know of is Random Technologies.

DAYYYYMMM random tech cats are 346 bucks! thats as much as the Apexi NOIR exhaust i want to get....

actually thats 110 dollars less than what i got my RSL 19 inch wheels LOL

LOL ..... I've thought about switching to the NOIR also ...... I have the WS2's now ...... also thinking of blanking the left half of the Y and removing the left muff for a little extra torque ..... and so it looks like a 4-cyl for when people try to be cute on the road (debadged except the H).

that sounds like a brilliant idea, save money on a extra NOIR, get the stock look back, AND gain torque... i would have gotten a 6cyl but i really wanted manual transmission... and those damn CL trans are EXPENSIVE

in any case, i guess i "NEED" the cat more than the exhaust right now so first thing is first.....
