Hello Everyone, I have a 2009 Accord Sedan EX V6 3.5. I had an oil leak at the Front Variable Valve Timing Solenoid (VVT) and replaced both the body seal and lower seal with the screen within it (see picture). The good news is I fixed the leak the bad news is I induced a code P3497 (cylinder deactivation system bank 2) after reading many threads which helped me to understand what I had, the fix was to ensure oil level was correct and replace the oil pressure switch on bank 2. I did an oil change along with the Oil pressure switch change however after driving for 20+ miles, the check engine light comes back on with the same P3497 code. After several attempts to rectify, now the car went into limp mode after 40 miles of driving with the same P3497 code. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Same thing on my 2012, it only does it after it warms up and driven for a while then I get the code 3497 and the sensor is good, so I'm going to try replacing the solenoid.

I didn't replace the solenoid all my sensors were good, was told by someone more knowledgeable in Hondas than me but, sometimes the small holes and passages on that front solenoid can get clogged with debris and sludge built up over time so I took the solenoid off where the gasket and the screen is, cleaned it real good with some throttle body spray while I had the drain plug and oil filter off, and I just let it sit overnight to drain.
and before I put the screen and gaskets back together I poured a little bit of oil on it.
I've been driving it for a week now and the code hasn't come back.
