extended warranty
Extended warranties typically cover engines and transmissions (with a deductible), however, brakes are normal maintenance items and typically require a contract known as "Extended Service".
Well, maybe not quite so much; I don't believe clutches, tires, wiper blades, and other sundry items are covered as well.
Because an extended warranty is actually an insurance policy, they can be customized... of course, the more that is included (covered) the higher the cost of the policy. A friend of mine pay 'out the yang' for an extended warranty, but it covered bumper-to-bumper including all lights replacement, battery, broken mirrors.. the list went on & on.. Not worth the cost, in my opinion
Tires normally have their own warranty provided by the manufacturer.. Continental, Michelim, etc
