Default turbo advise

sup fokes,

i have an f22b1 @ 66,886. for some reason it gets low on oil every 3-4 weeks. there is no sign of leakage. the spark plugs arent covered with oil. i have a breather on the valve covern and i can see a little oil splatter but no enough to say its the cause. could it be the turbo?

VTEC can burn oil, especially if you drive the **** out of it. Valve guides, valve stem to guide clearance, pistons rings, etc. can bun oil.

Some oils burn faster than others...

Probably not the turbo... is it oil cooled?

Clogged PCV valves can cause oil to sputter through the breather. Cheap $4 part to replace.

may also want to check the oil return piping. sometimes it leaks from there and you can't tell because it only leaks when the car is running

im currently working on that problem myself. good luck buddy
