2013 Accord problems with nav. and blutooth
He really wasn't specific, but I have the EX-L w/o navi..other than the poor audio, my main problem is the unit freezing and not responding.
If it does, it'll just add insult to injury. lol
I have the iPhone, have heard some with android devices experiencing the same problems..there are a few YouTube videos showing the issue, just type "2013 Honda accord radio problem". I experience this problem at least 2-3 times a day.
I purchased my Accord on Feb 11, 2013. Wish I had found this forum before I bought the car. My problems are similar to the ones documented earlier but are on a Canadian version of the Accord without the Navigation system.
In only 2 1/2 weeks I have experienced the following:
·Feb 13th – Phone/Bluetooth problem. Will not download contact information from Samsung Galaxy S3 into the phonebook. Another Samsung phone (not a smartphone) works as documented. This problem continues to today. All other phone/bluetooth functions working properly.
·Feb 15th – the 8" audio/information screen went black after the LaneWatch (Blind Spot) Camera turned off. Even pushing the display button on the steering wheel would not turn the displayback on. It remained black until the car was turned off and restarted.
·Feb 16th – both the LaneWatch and Backup Cameras would only work for a second or two, then they would return to the normal audio/information display. This occurred even if the right turn signal was still engaged or if the car was still in reverse. Again, turning off the ignition and restarting the vehicle resolved the problems.
·Feb 28th – the sound was garbled for all sources (radio, satellite, bluetooth and CD). It corrected by restarting the vehicle.
I have scheduled a diagostic service for early next week but I am sure that, given the problems described in this forum, the fact that the problems are not easliy repeatable and my experience as a software developer, the diagnostic scan will show nothing is wrong.
I had expected such a higher quality based on Honda's previous history.

Ok. Honda has the software update at the dealers now. I just stopped in my dealer and talked to the service mgr. Said he just got it and we can bring the car in anytime for the install. He said Honda is well aware of the complaints.
Now we'll see if they fix it.
I also asked if it would fix the poor audio quality issue? He said he wasn't sure but it was a good place to start.
I'm going to try and get it in next week and post an update.
