I've located a used ECU (same part number). What is a ballpark figure for the dealer to reprogram the immobilizer and make my current keys work?

I had a Acura TSX new key (spare) cut and programmed for $50. Note that does not include key cost, which was about $50. I also had an price of $175 to provide key and program by local locksmith. Check around, I think even Walmart does some smart keys.

Suggest carefully reading the shop manual instructions and precautions on removing ECM/PCM and installing a replacement ECM/PCM.

good luck

I thought the dealer would program the ecu to match the current keys? As far as changing the ecu, I don't have the manual but assumed it would be safe with the battery disconnected , then hit the brakes a couple times to make sure there is no residual power and swap.

I installed the ecu and got it programmed at the dealer, the ac is now working although it is a hair low on charge. Many thanks for all of the advise, I wouldn't have been able to figure it out otherwise.

I called a few and ended up finding a dealer who did it for $110.
