Here are the items that are protected by the #1 fuse:

Gauge cluster
shift lever position indicator
safety indicator (i think this is part of the cluster too).
back-up lights
vehicle speed sensor
turn signal relay
clock
the integrated control unit (this is behind the under dash fuse box).

I would start unplugging these items to see if any of them will stop the fuse from blowing. Inspect the wiring near any of these components.

I love this site because people know what their talking about but just out of curiosity what does the turn signal relay do (since my turn signals are working) In any case I will try what you recommended tomorrow after work
Thanks

The manual you can download covers a bunch of accords, so your accord my have a different fuse for the turn signal electronics.

Unplugged ignition coil and fuse stopped blowing upon further checking a wire had frayed and was connecting to a bolt so examined cabled and since it was in decent shape I just repaired the cable and all the gauges work now. (Major issue avoided)

However I noticed this cold morning that my heater is not working. The fan turns on and brings air in from outside and the A/C works but no heat at all.

This could be due to a couple of different issues.

In the engine bay on the passenger side of the car, there should be two coolant hoses going into the firewall. One will have a valve that has a cable attached to an arm. When you turn the heat **** in the car to hot, the arm should swing and allow hot coolant to flow through the heater core.

Check that that arm is moving. Maybe use some PB-Blaster or WD-40 on it.

Car started overheating before I checked so I replaced the thermostat no more overheating and heater now works
