I recently replaced the drivers door lock actuator. Everything is in working order except for when I'm in the car and lock the doors the drivers door doesn't unlock sometimes and doesn't lock sometimes. I know it sounds wierd but after I park and pull the keys out of the ignition I unlock the car. All doors will unlock except the drivers door will make an attempt and re-lock itself automatically. Itis likesomething is keeping it from going all the way to unlock and triggers it to go back to locked.

To add to the confusion, just yesterday I had it happen just the opposite. I went to lock and it would lock all doors, attempt to lock the drivers door then automatically pop up to the unlocked position.

It sounds like the **** is stuck so the actuator tries to move it and gives up. Check to make sure that it goes up and down smoothly. If so, you may need a new actuator.
