Default 98 Accord v6 NO green key icon, cranks but wont start.

1998 Honda Accord V6 Coupe, no remote start, no alarms.
Here is some history.
Had intermittent failure to start during high temperatures days. >80 degrees. Engine cranks with not issue, dash dummy lights are illuminated. Here is what I noticed during the failure. NO Green Key Icon on dash console. If I get the green light it will start.
Currently – will not start at all and cannot get the green key indicator to flash or display. Even turning the key off.
Strangely I do random walk byes (cool off from internet suggestions.) try to start it and it would. Immediately turn the ignition off, it fails to start.
What I tried:
Original and extra key. (works when it wants too)
Checked fuses. (Visually appear ok, otherwise I wouldn’t get random starts)
Opened the main relay under the dash to investigate the circuit board for evidence of shorts or dark spots. (Nothing to report)
Currently have the steering column cover off to check Immobilizer connections plugs for looseness. (No change)
Uncle!
Any constructive advice welcome.

My first guess would have to be the immobilizer unit located at the ignition key cylinder.

The green key flashing on the dash indicates the correct key is in proximity to the receiver.

Could also be the main relay or the electrical portion of the ignition switch. Main relays that are bad often act up with temperature variations.

If the non-start is always together with the no-green-key-lamp, that really sounds like the immobilizer system.

Do you have other car keys on the same chain? I don't know whether it can be a problem having too many RFID chips close to that antenna unit, but it's very easy to test by keeping the key separate.

Is there a simpletons way to bypass the immobilizer and so I can drive it to the Honda Dealer?

You might call Honda of America - there is a code that you can input using the e-brake that will allow the car to start so that the car can be driven to the dealer.
