So you are almost twice the age and almost 1/2 the miles (~40K something). Please get this addressed as soon as you can. 99.5% of the time when the t-belt gives, engine damage is done.
So, IMO, the cost of the belt(s)/water pump replacement is worth the peace of mind to know that you will not have the belt fail and cause bent valves or worse (belt replacement cost is 1/3~1/4 or less of the cost it will be if the t-belt fails).

EDIT-for a little more info-I do my own work so I'm guessing a bit at these costs of paying someone to do it and using US $'s-I'd guess $500 to $600 for the timing belt job, upwards of $2,200 if the belt breaks.

Got ya. Good advice. I plan to have it done within the next 6 months or 5,000 k unless I find a garage to do it in.

thank you for your help.

If you need to do this on the cheap, and your miles/year are still low, you might just change the belts and leave the water pump, seals, and tensioners for another time. I feel the WP and tensioners are less likely to "time out." Of course, the risk is, before you need another belt replacement something goes bad in there and then you are hating that you didn't do the whole job.

I have only done one Accord belt job, but I think doing just the belts would have been easier than doing the whole thing (for me, anyway).
