Reading "between the lines".....a 98-02 Accord.....but at the same time if the OP could confirm this is would be nice.

Well I got around to pulling the solenoid just a little bit ago and the screen was clean and all and again I applied power and I can hear the clicking better but still the opening click isn't quite as loud as loud as when it closes. And is the pin inside the body of the valve supposed to move when I put power to it? I'll try to get to changing the A/T fluid this weekend and see if there's any improvement

Sorry, these start to run together after a while....didn't go re-read the whole thread.....I think you have a used trans already.

Pull shift c from it and compair the sound. To me you might have a weak shift C there is a resistance test you can do but I have found that can change with temps.

Just to be sure do you mean pull shift solenoid B to compare with shift solenoid C? Just wanna make sure..

Sorry, went back and re-read this, I had you confused with another poster.......that poster already had a junk yard trans.......so I confused myself and thought you had another "shift c" to compare the two....my bad.

Yes there should be some movement in the "valve" when power is applied and released.....it is small so a "feel" might be better than trying to look at it.

It is hard over the internet to say how "loud" the click should be. I hate to suggest spening money without more testing but a used shift c from a JY might be an option......if nothing else pull one from the yard and before you leave put power to it and compare (in your head) that to the one you have in the car.

Well the weekend is here so I'm gonna try a fluid change and see if there is any improvement.

As far as the shift solenoid "clicks" there is a noticeable difference but also when I pulled the solenoid I did measure the resistance again and it was 17 ohms compared to 15.5 ohms when I tested it when it was still on the tranny with the engine warm.

"C" is starting to sound like it is not doing the "job". Again I hate to suggest spending money on something that I can't be sure of.

A walk through a local bone yard and looking for a 6th gen Accord, you can pull another one and compare the resistance....click to the one you have
