Everything with them seems to be fine so far! Anyone know what the covers were for over the exits? They were a second bracketed item attached to the horns, out of the box.

I sure wish that was mentioned as an additional item to the original description! Do you think I should put them back on?

That's certainly up to you and would be an easy task to accomplish.
The shields do perform a function, even though they will reduce the volume a bit... which may not be noticeable... they will help prevent/reduce the amount of dirt/dust that can accumulate within the horns over a period of time

i would, i'm sure they didn't put them on there just because. i'm sure they did them on purpose for a reason.

A few reasons. They weren't shown in the instruction page, not present in the video(to the best of my knowledge), and for ease of installation at that point, and the stock horns do not have dust/dirt covers.

check the product page again, Sports Horn Kit (pair) - DL163 - College Hills Honda

and i watched the video again, those are the first gen upgrade horns. they just reused the video because it is the same process.
(a little history)the sports horn were made specifically for CHH, also why they are so cheap and are a great upgrade/bang for your buck.

lol.. I understand

I used to be one of those, '...we don't need no stinking instructions' kind of guys... however, I've learned from trial & error to now pay more attention... often times it is the little things that trip us up
